Hi there! I'm making this post since i don't think the profile pic is worthy of the art portal

And since i like to yap and give my thoughts in the description this is the only way i can do it

The wet owl is surely fitting of my dumb name, but if i want to look just a bit more professional i have to use something i made myself

So here guardian petscop in the style of the xbox 360 profile pics, sadly i'm not a supporter (yet) so i can't use a square outline shape

I used inkscape instead of krita since it's kinda lacking in the vector graphics department (tho it's understandable as its there to make the comic related features easier to use)

I'll try to incorporate vector graphics more in my drawings in the future since its really fun and convenient to use them

Those xbox 360 icons are so iconic that they always remained in my head as some of the most memorable default customization choices in the history of... well everything customizable

And since the internet is becoming more and more uniform with its graphic design choices i'd like to encourage fellow artists to look back at the past, and just get inspired by everything that worked so that we may hopefully make the internet just a bit more lively and less souless for the future, especially in these trying times

The rise of the indie web and all these original pilots/movies in the last few years have shown me that time, effort and letting your creativity flow can lead to make something that rivals even professionaly made media made by big studios with the big bucks

So basically as long as there is slop there will be someone else to fight it, so don't get discouraged and just try!

(don't ask me how this post became so motivational i don't even know how i got here)
